What is Arbitrage Betting
An Arbitrage (Arb) Bet occurs when bookies have different opinions on the result of a sporting event or they simply make an error when calculating the odds they should offer. When this happens YOU can benefit by betting on all possible results to guarantee a profit.
Principle
It uses the principle that when ever you have a situation where the Back Odds are greater than the Lay Odds then you will make money NO MATTER WHAT THE OUTCOME.
How
Cash-Matters.com has already shown you how to make sufficient money to start this process. Now we show you how to use this money to create a sustained source of income. The difference in the odds are often quite small. Cash-Matters has taught you how to make a significant amount of money already. Our advise is now to use this money to make most out of your Arb Bets.
Cash-Matters provides a free 'Best Odds Matcher' that has done the work for you for football betting. This will provide you with the Arb bets that are currently on offer. The percentage figure instantly gives you an idea of how much money you can make from each selection.
Once you have chosen the betting option place a bet on both the Back and Lay sides. Do this by simply clicking on the chosen bet and following the link to the Back bet and the Lay bet. We advise that you use the FREE calculator (the link is on the Betting Screen) to assist with the amount of money placed on each side. You choose how much you bet - the more you bet the more money there is tob be made.
Look at this example

We have gone to the 'Oddsmatcher' in the Arbitrage section of Cash-Matters. This is a very typical example of whats on offer. You will often find Arb bets that are greater in percentage than this and lets not forget that with experience and a little bit of effort on your part you can find your own arbs - about 30-60mins from the off in Horse Racing for example.
You will see that the bets Arb is one that relates to a football game between Wolves and Man United. You will see that although you will make 110% on this match no matter what the outcome because the odds a so high (201) you would need to Lay bet a ridiculous amount of money. We have therefore gone for the second best Arb where you stand to make 108%. Because the odds are lower you will not need to lay so much.
The calculator does the rest for you and by placing a back bet of £100 you stand to make £4.40 no matter what the outcome. You will need £395 as liability in your Betfair account but remember you are not risking this money. Not a massive amount but this is guaranteed money remember.
Tips and Respect
We respect the users of Cash-Matters. Arbing isn't going to make you a millionaire, but it can provide you with a steady income stream for life. You have to remember that the profit margins are relatively small so multiple bets across a number of accounts at different bookies (at higher margins) is the way to maximize your profits. For this reason you will need to build up your float first via the free bet and casino offers.
Here's some tips -
The Odds Matcher receives information from the bookmakers and in doing so there is a slight time delay - minutes. Often the odds will have changed compared to the ones that are delayed. Be patient in finding the ones that are yet to change.
Although the Odds Matcher will always find Arb Bets they will more often be small. Like we say you will still have to work at this so treat it like any job and be patient. Wait for the bigger Arbs to come up and don't be despondent when you are not the first person to get there.
Treat Arb betting as something to trickle the money coming in whilst you continue with the other forms of money making that we show you on Cash-Matters - its a collective of methods and all should be used in conjunction with each other.
Arb bets are small in margin so expect to be placing large amounts of money to make a small profit. But don't forget you will be making guaranteed profits. The more you grow your profit the more you will be able to place on the next Arb - is the classic snowball affect.
The odds matcher will show all the Arb bets. Some of the bigger ones will be on bets that are very high odds. The higher the odds the more money you will need on your Lay Bet and therefore, beginners especially, you may not have sufficient funds to bet at these high odds. The more money you make the higher the odds you will be able to aim for and the snowball effect comes into play.
Check the liquidity (for a definition is the Matcher Betting Tutorial). Make sure there is sufficient in the exchange to cover your lay bets.
You should have signed up to many bookmakers whilst doing the Matched Betting side to Cash-Matters. The more bookmakers you are with the more advantage you can take of the arbs when they appear.
